We encourage all residents to protect themselves from West Nile virus by doing the following:

Use insect repellent, according to label directions.
Empty any water holding containers in yard which do not need to have water in them and change out the water in bird baths and horse troughs weekly.
Wear long-sleeved, loose fitting, light-colored clothing.
When possible, avoid prolonged outdoor activity at dawn and dusk.
